About
Thirty years in fitness. One client at a time.
Zara Naqvi is a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer based in Reading, coaching women and men through strength, confidence and lasting change.
The trainer
Coaching that respects your starting point.
Zara has spent more than thirty years in fitness — as a participant, an instructor and, for the past several of them, a personal trainer working one-to-one with clients across Reading and Berkshire.
That length of experience changes how she coaches. She has seen the trends arrive and leave, and she has watched what actually holds up: consistent strength work, sound technique, sensible nutrition and a programme built around the person in front of her rather than the person on a template.
Her specialism is women's strength training — beginners, women returning after a long gap, busy mothers, and women training through peri-menopause and beyond. She also works extensively with clients carrying postural issues and lower back considerations, which is where her Level 4 corrective exercise qualifications come into their own.
Sessions are private, unhurried and genuinely one-to-one. There is no crowd, no shouting and no attempt to make you feel small so that training feels necessary.

Coaching philosophy
Four principles behind every programme.
- 01
Technique before load
Every movement is taught properly before weight is added. It is slower for the first few weeks and considerably faster over the first year.
- 02
Programmes, not workouts
A single hard session proves nothing. Progression is planned across weeks and months so your training compounds instead of resetting.
- 03
Built around real life
Work, family, travel and energy levels are part of the plan, not obstacles to it. A programme you can actually follow beats a perfect one you can't.
- 04
Honest coaching
You'll be told what's working, what isn't and what needs to change. No inflated promises, no pressure to buy more than you need.
