Common questions
How much does personal training cost?
Pricing depends on the type of training, session length and frequency. Zara will confirm exact costs during your free 20-minute consultation, so you know precisely what you're committing to before you start. BoxFit classes are £5 per class.
Where does Zara offer personal training?
Training is based in Reading, Berkshire, with clients travelling in from Caversham, Shinfield, Lower Earley, Winnersh, Woodley and Wokingham. Online coaching is available anywhere.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes. Every new client starts with a free 20-minute consultation covering your goals, training history, lifestyle and any challenges, plus an initial conversation about your posture and movement.
Do I need to already be fit?
No. Most clients start because they are not where they want to be. Your programme begins from your current level and progresses from there.
Can beginners work with Zara?
Absolutely. Beginners are a large part of Zara's work, and every movement is taught step by step before load is added.
Do I need a gym membership?
It depends on the venue and format of your training. This is confirmed with you before your first session so there are no surprises.
Do you offer women's strength training?
Yes — it is a core specialism, covering beginners, women returning to training, busy mums and women training through peri-menopause.
Do you offer Reformer Pilates?
Yes, as private one-to-one sessions focused on core strength, mobility, balance and control.
Do you offer BoxFit?
Yes. BoxFit is boxing-based fitness training at £5 per class, suitable for all levels.
Do you provide nutrition guidance?
Yes. Zara holds a Level 4 qualification in Nutrition for Weight Management and Athletic Performance and provides practical guidance within that scope.
Can I train online?
Yes. Online coaching includes a customised programme, live online sessions and regular progress check-ins.
How often should I train?
Most clients train one to three times a week with Zara, with a plan for the days in between. The right frequency is agreed in your consultation.
Can training be adapted around an injury or health condition?
Zara holds Level 3 Supporting Clients with Long-Term Conditions, Level 3 Exercise Referral, Level 4 Lower Back Specialist and Level 4 Obesity & Diabetes qualifications. Exercise is adapted appropriately and delivered within guidance from your GP or health professional. Zara does not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.
