No sparring, no experience needed. Here is exactly how a first BoxFit session tends to go.

The structure of a session

Expect a warm-up, a technical section covering stance, guard and basic punches, rounds on the pads or bag, and conditioning work to finish.

There is no sparring. You are learning boxing movement for fitness, not being hit.

How hard is it?

As hard as you make it. Rounds are scaled to the individual — a first-timer and a regular can do the same session at very different intensities.

What to bring

Trainers with decent grip, comfortable kit and water. Message Zara before your first class and she will confirm whether to bring gloves or wraps.

Why people stick with it

Boxing gives you something to get better at. That skill element keeps people coming back long after a treadmill routine would have been abandoned — and hitting pads is an unusually effective way to unload a stressful week.
